Small SubWoofers on parade

(Off the beaten path)

Over the years, I’ve accumulated an odd collection of small and micro subwoofers. Here’s what I’ve dug up about the ones I have.

Sunfire Laboratories Professional subwoofer

Bob Carvers “Sunfire Laboratories Professional” subwoofer is a 11″ cube in a 50lb box that outperforms most refrigerator sized twin 15″ subs. (!)
This appears to be an early and rare “pro” version of the first gen “true subwoofer”.
It usually provides the LFX for my home theater , although I drag it to the occasional live music gig.

Energy ESW-M6 subwoofer

The Energy ESW-M6 (and it’s cousins, the Jamo Sub-800 and the Mirage MM-6) are tiny 8 inch cube box with a 6.5 inch driver and two passive radiators inside.
I use four of these tiny but mighty subs in my small home theater room.
